A Life in Brewing
Like most brewers I started as a home brewer, I share with many the love of the smell of malt and hops, I believe that most home brewers are driven by a rebellious belief that there must be more to life than drinking watery lagers and insultingly dumbed down beers as are provided by the big beer manufacturers. these malted midget, beers try to please everyone, and in doing so please no-one. The near orgasm of pleasure I felt when drinking my first Shofferhoffer or Pilsner Urquell, will remain treasured memories for a lifetime. Home brewing was my way of escaping the same old same old beers. I have the greatest respect for the home brewer, they are the holders of a vision of something better for beer, a vision which the large beer conglomerates lost a long, long time ago.
